PRIORITISATION
Initiatives are prioritised based on risk, ease of implementation and financial - growth/ profitability/ ROI - benefit
- The 80/20 is crucial. Many management teams become mired in too many initiatives which have too little impact on overall corporate performance
- Without prioritization, there is a risk that resources will be overstretched as agendas become overload; often, it is many of the same people who are tasked with delivering results
- The first wave of initiatives are typically where cash can conserved quickly, combines with the launch of lore difficult initiatives which need to get a start to deliver in the longer-term.
